Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Accurate Online Bookkeeping Service platform ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (or the entity you represent) and Accurate Online Bookkeeping Service ("we," "us," or "our"). You represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms.

The Service is offered on a subscription basis with three tiers: Essential, Core, and Professional. Each plan includes a 30-day free trial, after which billing begins automatically based on your selected billing cycle (monthly or annual).

Subscription fees are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. You authorize us to charge the recurring subscription fee to your designated payment method until you cancel.

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and you will be charged a prorated amount. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cancel during a free trial, no charges will be applied. Cancellation of a paid subscription stops future billing but does not result in a refund for the current billing period.

New subscribers are eligible for a 30-day free trial of any plan. During the trial period, you have access to all features included in your selected plan.

The free trial does not require a credit card to start. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial ends.

We reserve the right to modify trial terms, including duration and feature availability, at any time. Any changes will not affect trials already in progress.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use or security breach.

The Service uses a multi-tenant architecture. Each organization operates in a logically isolated environment. You are responsible for managing user access within your organization, including inviting team members, assigning roles, and revoking access when necessary.

Administrators within your organization can invite users and assign roles (admin or user). You are responsible for ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive financial data.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not: use the Service to store or process illegally obtained data, attempt to access another tenant's data, reverse engineer or decompile the platform, use automated tools to scrape or extract data, or transmit malware or malicious code.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all data you input, import, or process through the Service. The Service is a tool for bookkeeping and financial management — we do not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.

File uploads are validated for type and size. Attempting to upload malicious files or exploit upload functionality will result in account suspension.

You may not use the Service to facilitate money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, or any other illegal financial activity. We cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities in investigations of suspected illegal activity.

You may not share your account credentials, resell access to the Service, or use the Service to provide competing accounting services without a written partnership agreement.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination, data retention hold, and referral to appropriate authorities.

The Service, including its design, features, AI models, branding, and software, is the intellectual property of Accurate Online Bookkeeping Service and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written consent.

You retain all rights to the data you input into the Service. We do not claim ownership of your financial data, customer records, invoices, or any other content you create or import.

The "Accurate Online Bookkeeping Service" name, logo, and associated branding are trademarks of our company. You may not use them without prior written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated insights, categorizations, or forecasts will be accurate or suitable for your specific financial situation.

AI-powered features, including transaction categorization, anomaly detection, and financial forecasting, are provided as decision-support tools. You are responsible for verifying all AI-generated outputs before relying on them for financial decisions.

You should consult with a qualified tax professional or accountant before making financial decisions based on data or insights from the Service. The platform is a bookkeeping tool, not a replacement for professional financial advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated insights, financial reports, or forecasts. You acknowledge that financial data analysis involves inherent risks and uncertainties.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you retain access until then.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if your account remains inactive for more than 12 months.

Upon termination, your data will be retained for 90 days to allow for account reactivation, after which it will be permanently deleted from production systems. You may export your data at any time during the retention period.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or platform features. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date.
